Glossary of Oils, Absolutes, and Ingredients

 

Carrier Oils -  Natural oils used to dilute essential oils for safe application on the skin.  They also provide

nourishment and enhance natural scent longevity. We use cold-pressed oils such as jojoba, virgin coconut,   extra virgin olive oil, and rosehip oils.

 

Botanical Extracts - extracts from flowers, plants, and herbs used for their unique scents and therapeutic properties.

 

Absolutes - Highly concentrated aromatic extracts obtained through solvent extraction.  These are often used in perfumery for their rich, complex scents.

 

Wax - Virgin Coconut Wax is used in our candles. It is toxin-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free, and is a FDA-approved wax.
